In a changing technological age, nobody is sure how we will be watch films in the coming years or how filmmakers will be compensated.
By submitting to IFS TV, filmmakers have a chance to submit to a film channel with many more available programming slots then an average festival and have a greater chance of being accepted and screened online.
The films that are accepted will be screened online for four months and the viewership will be tracked. At the end of the four months the most popular films will be invited to stay on the channel and have advertising deals where ads will be shown (generating revenue that is split, with75% going to the filmmaker). This is ideal for films that want to generate a buzz and seek a broader audience.
Additionally, many festivals do not consider a short online run to be a premier; being screened on IFS/TV allows films to get exposure while still being submitted to festivals with world premiere status.
